General Settings Tab
Branding:
Upload your station logo and set your stations name to appear at the top of OnCue.
Guided tour:
Runs the setup tour again. It changes nothing, just gives you a rundown of features and settings within the program.
Startup:
Whether the rotation starts as soon as OnCue opens, and whether it opens in Manual or Automatic. You can also allow OnCue to Start when Windows starts.
Power Options:
The settings that keep a station on air overnight:
- Keep this computer awake while OnCue is running — stops Windows sleeping and cutting the broadcast.
- Keep the screen on too — the strongest setting. Use it if playback still stops once the screen goes dark.
- Set up this PC for 24/7 playout — sets the Windows power settings so the machine never sleeps on mains power, including what the lid and the power button do. (recommended to click this once)
Ask before closing while on air:
puts a confirmation in front of anyone about to close OnCue while it is playing or streaming.
As-run log:
Writes a text file for each day listing everything that played and when. Choose the folder, and open it from the same place. If you have any reporting obligation — music royalties, advertiser proof of play — switch this on now rather than wishing you had.
Duplicate imports:
Normally a file already in the library is recognised and not added twice. There is a separate tick box for each route in: Import Media, dragging onto the window, dropping onto the Stack, and Hotkeys → Add.
Clock formats:
12-hour or 24-hour, chosen separately for the Stack, the Now schedule, History, Overview and the Asset page. The clock widget has its own switch — click the time itself.
Go full screen:
covers the taskbar, for a dedicated on-air machine. F11 does the same.
